Tabasco agate, also known as illianite, is one of the smallest commercially mined geodes in the world, typically ranging from 0.5 to 2 inches in diameter. These tiny geodes form inside volcanic rock, especially basalt, and are found near Tabasco in Zacatecas, Mexico.
Recently rediscovered, they are now mined and processed by the Marquez family at Marquez Mining, continuing a unique tradition rooted in the region’s geology.
Many people believe that tabasco agates carry helpful energy. They are often used to promote emotional healing, support self-acceptance, and help release negative thoughts. Some also say they boost creativity, improve communication, and aid in spiritual growth. Others turn to them for their believed effects on physical well-being.
A floating display case will be provided.
